Ok sorry for the Adele song but I kinda had to. It's been so long since I last created something for the choir and wrote something to go with it, isn't it? Well as we are back singing one of Pete Churchill's pieces, inspiration found its way back to me. So I took the time- in between lessons plans, assessments, writing essays and everything a teacher does- to create this little something for you. Like often, the image popped into my mind when we were singing it. There is always a point in life where we wonder who's in charge of our lives when we seem to have lost our path and follow a road that is not for us... The song reminded me of this feeling and the need to let go, to speak out, to lay down on paper whatever we have in our heart and to follow our dreams. So here we are, with a human puppet waiting to realise that her story is still to be told, and told only by her own muted voice.
